A Letter from the Executive Director

Three years ago, New Life took a step. A big step. With a God-given vision and a well-laid out plan, we boldly stepped out together with a goal of doubling the number of clients reached and lives saved from abortion each year by the end of 2015. This plan became known as Vision 2015.Vision 2015

With our eyes on Jesus and looking ahead to 2015, we began the work of responding to Jesus’ invitation – “come.”

When you read the passage in Matthew where Jesus commands Peter to “come”,

do you ever wonder how Peter felt when Jesus asked him to step out of the boat and onto the water? Can you imagine that first step and how much faith it took? Peter could not “come” as Jesus asked him to, if he did not put his full weight on the water. It required something significant, a step-by-step act of faith.

I so often think about this passage when I reflect on those first steps we took at New Life three years ago and how I witnessed you respond in taking…

the step to close our Anoka office, which has been operating for more than 30 years. Such a big, difficult, and faith-filled step! You heard us, prayed with us, understood, and continued to support us.

the step to add STD testing was new, unknown, and required perseverance. You asked questions, saw the connection to our mission, and encouraged us with your enthusiastic support.

the step to relocate or remodel each of our office locations was

laborious, trying, and demanding of patience. You gave generously and abundantly as we asked for your support in making our pregnancy centers accessible, visible, and better-suited to serve those in need.

Every step along the way has been an opportunity for you and I to learn, trust, and be witness to God’s incredible work. God has been moving, rearranging, and creating beautiful stories every step of the way.

And we are seeing our prayers for Vision 2015 come to fruition!

…at our Minneapolis center near the University of Minnesota, the number of women and men we see for STD testing and pregnancy testing have more than tripled since we launched Vision 2015.

…at our busiest center in Saint Paul, pregnancy tests have increased by 59% and our ultrasounds have increased by 83%.

our partnerships have increased tremendously and we are reaching people in placed we never imagined. At MN Adult and a local drug and alcohol rehab program, women are finding healing from abortion through our Conquerors program. Through our partnership with Urban Ventures, we are able to provide additional education and support to mothers and fathers in our centers.

Yet in the midst of celebrating these milestones, we are faced with another step of faith: to sustain our increased budget.

The addition of new services and staff, along with the improvements to each office has required our budget to significantly increase over the past three years. And with summer always being a challenging financial time for us, we need your support today.

Will you help us sustain the vision with a
